Five Natural Remedies for Common Cold

Try these natural remedies when you are suffering from common cold. These remedies help you to get instant relief from cold.

Ginger:
Ginger has many antiviral properties. So take ginger for getting immediate relief from cold. Add one teaspoon grated ginger to a cup of boiled water and allow it to steep for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes drink it.

Onion: 
Onion has some antiviral compounds. Cut the raw onion into slices and steep them overnight in honey. Take the mixture 3 to 4 times according to the severity.

Turmeric:
Turmeric has antibiotic and antiviral properties. Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric to a cup of hot milk and consume it.

Cinnamon:  
Cinnamon has anti-inflammatory properties.Boil one teaspoon cinnamon powder in a cup of water. Add one teaspoon honey and a pinch of pepper to that mixture. This relieves from severe cold and cough as well as sore throat.

Water cress:
Make tea with two teaspoons of dry watercress which is very beneficial for cold and , cough and runny nose.
